Montreal is an epic city. Every street has a lot of visual interest. From the town houses to the cafes to the street signs it’s an all around beautiful place to be. In the middle of summer the plant life seems to overgrow and take over the city. Which makes sense considering the warm weather is fleeting. Making it the perfect time and perfect city for a street art crawl. Everything is alive and colorful giving it the perfect backdrop for some amazing street art. I had heard about some popular artists making murals in Montreal but I assumed it’d be a dozen pieces or less. A few novelty street art pieces for the city to help beautify itself. But when I got there I found that the street art was endless! There were so many amazing works of art that I can hardly fit them in one blog post (Hence, this being “Part 1” of a series). Anyone who travels to Montreal will have to prioritize a trek along Saint Laurent and the surrounding area just as much as any of the other top tourist attractions because the street art here is masterful. I was very pleasantly surprised to say that Montreal is one of the best cities in the world for street art. Check it out!
